FLORENCE MOTOR SPEEDWAY PARTNERS WITH SOLID ROCK CARRIERS / RENEGADE FUELS FOR UPCOMING EVENTS

November 3, 2020

(For Immediate Release)

As Florence Motor Speedway draws closer to the “Charlie Powell Memorial – SC 250 / SC 400” dual weekends of racing, we have some special info we would like to share. In an ongoing effort to solidify the “Charlie Powell Memorial” as a marquee event in the Southeast, the speedway has partnered with two well known staples in the racing industry.

Renegade Fuels has come on board as the title sponsor for the first weekend of two, the “South Carolina 250.” Renegade has been a longtime supporter of Myrtle Beach Speedway and will transition their support to the new Florence Motor Speedway.

Week two of the “Charlie Powell Memorial - South Carolina 400” will partner with a name that has become synonymous with racing in the Southeast. Solid Rock Carriers, out of La Grange, NC, has come forth to help propel Late Model Stock racing as they have done time after time. The feature race of the “South Carolina 400,” the 225 lap Late Model Stock Car portion, will now see drivers from all across the United States vie for a chance at the recently increased winner’s purse of $10,000.

The “Charlie Powell Memorial – SC 250 / SC 400,” a combined version of the former FMS Fall Classic and Myrtle Beach 400 events, will take place the two weekends leading up to Thanksgiving. Week one, the South Carolina 250 presented by Renegade Fuels, will see Limited Late Models, Super Trucks, and Street Stocks compete for the inaugural win to the 2020 event. The Solid Rock Carriers South Carolina 400, slated for week two, will have Late Model Stock Cars, S.M.A.R.T. Modifieds presented by SMART Chevrolet, the Carolina Pro Late Model Series, and the Allison Legacy Series.
