LAKE VIEW CROWN VIC V8 2026 RULES (Revised 10-15-2025)
Rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules.
NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES and REGULATIONS. They are a guide and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.
LVMS retains the right to make all decisions and reserves the right to make any rule changes/amendments with dispute or appeal.

The creation and goal of this class is to provide a fun, affordable, entry level way to enter stock car racing. Keeping the drivers safe, our car’s stock, and putting on the best show for our fans is the priority.
Only Ford Crown Vic, Mercury Grand Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car 1992 or newer.
PROTEST & CLAIM:
- Visual protest only $25.00 / Must be done 30 mins before event and before any cars are moving in pit area.
- Protest 2 items for $400.00, $100.00 acceptance, track keeps $100.00
- Engine or Transmission Claim - $700.00 [no bolt ons] track keeps $100.00 - $500.00 back-buy
- ECU CLAIM $125.00 - $75.00 back-buy
1. BODY:
- All flammable materials and all glass must be removed.
- Remove headlights and taillights
- May cover headlights and taillights with metal
- Doors must be welded
- Hood and trunk must have a minimum of 2 hood pins
- Locks must be removed from doors and trunk
- Stock steering column, may use a quick disconnect steering wheel
- Dash may be removed and replaced with sheet metal, but no more than 14” deep (Absolutely no decking)
- All airbags must be removed
- Bumpers must have tow chains on front and rear of car
- No push bars allowed on rear of car. (New in 2026) Push bars in front are acceptable but nothing excessive (example: Allstar 22352, no demolition style bumpers allowed to protect radiator, must be covered with factory style bumper cover or sheet metal. Any cars coming from other tracks will be granted a one race tolerance for the bumper cover.
- Driver and passenger doors may be gutted for cage clearance, but no other cutting or hulling of body. B Pillar on drivers side can be removed to allow for cage fitment.
- Front fender wells may be removed
- Any holes in the front fire wall and rear firewall must be covered with aluminum and steel.
2. SUSPENSION:
- Stock for make and model
- All replaced parts must be OEM replacement or same stock parts only
- May adjust as factory adjustments allow only
- NO Spring Rubbers allowed
- NO air ride allowed
- Watts link may be enforced. This is for safety only, nothing to do with performance.
3. WHEELS & TIRES:
- Stock steel or aluminum wheels only [NO racing wheels]
- All 4 corners must be the same size tire, wheel and offset (stock)
- All season DOT tires only. NO performance, race or directional tires Allowed.
- No wheel spacers of any kind
4. ENGINE:
- Must remain entirely stock 4.6L SOHS engines
- Pump gas only (Fuel kill switch may be relocated or kill all switch added)
- Stock fuel tank and stock fuel pump only
- A/C Condenser must be removed
- Radiator must contain water only
- 2.5 inch max exhaust pipe run to passenger side or to rear.
- May remove catalytic converter
- Mufflers not mandatory
- (New in 2026) Shortening of engine wiring harness for the purpose of safety is approved. (No Performance Gain).
5. TRANSMISSION:
- Must remain entirely stock
6. REAR END:
- Must remain entirely stock
- Factory 3.73 gear ratio max
- Factory posi or weld the spider gear (NO aftermarket lockers).
7. ROLL CAGE & SAFETY:
- Must have seamless tubing 4-point roll cage only X braced hoop behind driver with minimum of 3 door bars with vertical bracing from top to bottom. Cage must be 1.5” X .095” tubing. Frame must have minimum ¼ - inch steel plate welded to frame where bars connect.
- Roll cage must be inside driver compartment only, no part of cage may extend outside of passenger compartment
- Must have at least 4 vertical windshield bars in front of driver
- Approved racing seat and 5-point harness. Must be safety secured to the roll cage. (New in 2026) Full containment seats recommended.
- Working fire extinguisher or fire suppression system
- Properly mounted and secured window net. (New in 2026) Option: A full containment seat with head supports on each side-no window net is required.
- Battery must remain in stock location or moved behind driver, must be securely mounted, and covered if moved.
- Radiator must contain water only.
- 2-1/2” max exhaust pipe run to passenger side or to rear. May remove catalytic converter.
8. WEIGHT:
- NO ADDING WEIGHT OF ANY TYPE TO CAR
9. BRAKES:
- Must remain factory stock, all 4 corners must be operable
